Just upgraded my 4 sites to WordPress 2.5. It went smoothly, despite all the uploading, configuration, and new settings I had to learn about. But I have to say it’s pretty cool!
I really like how you can upload multiple images at the same time and see the progress of their upload and thumbnails when it’s complete. Everything is easier, which I like. The best thing however is the upgrade of plugins.
There is a new link that says ‘upgrade automatically’. When you click on it it brings you to a page where you enter your FTP information. Once your done it takes only seconds for it to upload, uninstall, upgrade, and reactivate your plugin. This just saved me hours of work!

Thanks for visiting my blog! The upgrade went well, and I love the one-click update of the plugins. I never had to enter any ftp data though. Funny, I have to check that out.

Hey Susie, yeah 2.5 is looking great so far isn’t it! You didn’t have to enter your FTP info? Maybe it depends on how your server is set up. I hope that I only have to do it once and it will remember it for next time.
In either case I’m still saving time.
I love the new version, it’s fantastic! I always used the pluginstaller plugin in the past, but it doesn’t work for all of them. My favorite is the instant upgrade plug in. I upgraded to version 2.5 with one click. I always hated having to install WP from scratch. Have a great day Rolando:)
